The size and type of heat pump you need will depend on your home’s energy efficiency, including how well it is insulated. Heat pumps generate heat at a much lower but more constant temperature than gas boilers, so if your home has solid floors, cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and double glazing, you will need a different heat pump model to an older house that is not so well insulated.
We can install ground or air heat pumps depending on your needs and the suitability of your home. An air pump installation will need enough external space to accommodate the main pump unit. Air source heat pumps can be mounted on a wall or on the ground. This is why we recommend you first have your home assessed by us for suitability and establish an optimal site for your air pump heater.
